Wall outlets provide volt AC power, but amplifiers require volt DC power. You’ll have to do a little extra wiring, but the problem is not insurmountable. Look up the input power specifications for your amplifier, using the manual or the manufacturer’s website. Find the specification for current draw in amperes. Purchase an AC to DC power inverter. Make sure the inverter can produce a volt DC output at the specified amperage rating.

During set-up I realized my sub kept blowing a fuse so I have yet to get it all hooked up(sub sent away by Geek Squad getting a new amp I believe). Can’t wait to get all three subs .
From that point of view, one piece of advice is to imagine your ideal, complete PA system that you hope to have in the future. Then, when you want to add or change what you currently have, you buy with the ideal future PA in mind. Regarding subs in general – Subs bring two things to the table: The first is a lot less important than one might think and also more difficult to attain , the second is extremely helpful. I’m not sure of all the technical or acoustic reasons why, but if you had a Watt system and you wanted to make it a Watt system, it’s better to subdivide the frequency range and have Watts for lows and Watts for mids and highs than it is to just add another Watts to a full-range setup.
The reason that is relevant to you is because if you don’t cut the low frequencies to your powered mains when you introduce a sub s , you’re not getting as much benefit from the power boost that you would normally get from adding subs. It’s a good thing to plan in advance for if and when you change out your mixer. To that end, you should consider getting a crossover to low pass your sub feed, which you can then use in the future to high-pass your tops. Either a passive EQ-only crossover like these , or if you want to future-proof your rig a lot more and have lots of options, you can go for a speaker management system like these.
Thank you Keith, i think i got it. Looks like i hooked the “tower” four speakers to two channel Sony amp. For some reason two wires going from “L” post on the amp power Right two speakers and two wires going from “R” post on the amp power Left two speakers.
Sep 06, · So pretty much I can hook up a sub. But it will take up all of my inputs, I should have gotten an actual mixer with a subout, and more than 2 inputs, and bought appropriate speakers. .. Great!!!! lol oh well, maybe after the show I can sell this, and try again lol.
How to wire 2 amplifiers to 2 sub-woofers? First off make sure you have the amps ran properly. Next to run this set up you need to get some Y jacks from radio shack so both amps are hooked into the subwoofers preout on the back of the deck. Next hopefully both your amps are either 2-ch or mono. If it is 2-ch bridge one on each amp this way you use both channels on the amp. If it is mono it is only one channel anyway.
Here are a few general tips to keep in mind as you plan your speaker installation. Types of installations After you identify your vehicle on our Vehicle Selector and select the mounting location, you’ll see which speakers fit your car. Speakers labelled “E-Z” will fit in the factory speaker openings and use the factory grilles and brackets. The magnet fits the available space and the tweeters won’t interfere with your grilles.

What is the color coding for the stereo wires in a dodge neon? Polarities should be accurate either way, just use the coding listed above for whatever color wiring goes to your speakers. Also, if your car is equipped with tweeters in the dash the wiring for them will match that of the front speaker for the corresponding side of the vehicle. Stereo wiring for dodge neon. The stereo wire coding for is as follows. A couple of notes: I recently installed a pair of 12″ Infinity subwoofers in my Gramd AM. I ran the power wire from the battery on the driver’s side of the car to the amp. I ran the audio wires and the antenna wireon the passenger side of the car.
Last night I spent the evening with a group of musicians, from the worlds of both classical and rock, and fans who had travelled from around the globe to celebrate the music of Jon Lord. The event was held in the majestic Royal Albert Hall, a venue in which Lord performed many times, and where he premiered his concerto for group and orchestra with Deep Purple some 45 years ago. As we arrived in the hall, we were greeted by two large video screens on either side of the stage, showing images of Jon.
I had a seat on the arena floor, a few rows from the front, to the left of stage centre. The event started promptly at the advertised time of
If you want to hype up the audio in your automobile, installing a subwoofer system is the best way to do it. There are different types of systems you can use to bring your car audio to the next level and holing up your car with one is easy enough if you have the proper tools and know-how.
I figured this would be the best place to learn about audio equipment and everything, because I’m really new to this stuff I found this site on Google. I have a question for you guys: I played at a huge house party Thursday night it was insane ; I do this live mashup thing really similar to Girl Talk. So what I want to know, is can I hook up a subwoofer to what I have now? It only has two outputs though. I tried reading before a bit on what I need to do, and I’m thinking I need a crossover?
From what I understand, it splits the audio into different frequencies so you can play different frequencies through different speakers? It was hard for me to really figure out what I need, so I have come to you guys. You would need a pre out and a power in to be able to connect a crossover and sub. Not the best solution, but better than trying to get bass outta those cabs. BTW, while the Kustom stuff gets “deservedly” slagged on here, one of the neat things about the Kustom Profile 2 system is that it has a dedicated hz low-pass sub output built in.
Also has patching jacks for doing it with a true crossover.

The term encompasses controllers, laptops, microphones, stage lights, dollies, and much more. One of the most important set of components for any mobile DJ is to have a good pair of loudspeakers. A mobile DJ will typically be an all-inclusive package so a sound system is definitely needed and it is important to understand what to look for in a sound system.
Active Speakers The first concept to understand is that not all speakers are the same. Mobile DJs in particular could be doing events with less than people to over people and it is important to understand how sound is processed by loud speakers in order to accommodate the audience size. While there are major differences between passive and active speakers there are a few things to understand first. Watts and Speakers DJs have probably heard the term watts from their electric company before because watts are a simple way to measure power.
The power of a speaker is what pushes the volume of an audio signal. That can be determined through frequency responses and other audio statistics. This is an important concept to understand because as a mobile DJ it is easy to say that a watt speakers is better than a watt speaker when in reality it is not that simple.
Most advertise pusing a lot of watts and for the price that sounds amazing, right? The peak power is what the system can handle when it comes to spikes in audio but is not the recommended power for a continuous stream of audio.
